I can't say I disagree with anything in that article. We've seen the downward spiral with quality and lack of respect from dealers, manufactures, and the extended warranty industry after the purchase. Sure it's all about the money. But they have found ways to make more while giving us less. Less in what we pay for, quality, ability to get repairs done right and in a timely fashion. Every effort is put into selling the RV's to the point it take preference over everything else on the shop floor? They've found a way to wrap a furd in pretty coverings and gadgets.
Sooner or later things will catch up. the question is ... Will we be willing to pay for it? Salaries are getting smaller not bigger.
I was actually just thinking about 2 years ahead and a possible purchase of our last MH. But the prices for what we want would be unaffordable by then with probably worse quality than what we currently own. I'm considering looking at higher end MH that is the same as our current year. Upgrade, and hope to heck the bugs are worked out. So there might not be a new one in our future. Maybe even keep what we have a fix it as we go.
