RV insurance

class B road trek

So just curious, what are you insuring? Guessing it is a class a or c.

I've had Nationwide home and auto for 30+ years. Have had several claims that were settled well by Nationwide. Never a threat of cancellation and I have always been treated fairly.

All that said, I have Progressive on both trailers and motorcycles due to better pricing.

Thanks for the info. , I intend to do a lot of research next year and if Nationwide checks out I have no problem changing.

So, sounds like even though Nationwide was cheaper, you made the decision based on previous experience with Nationwide (wife's experience with father's medical issues). Makes sense...Just didn't make a lot of sense to pass up the savings so I figured there had to be something else there.

Yeah, I had Farm Bureau and have excellent credit and no tickets, wrecks, claims, etc...I shopped this past fall...first time in 3 yrs, dropped FB , got quite a few quotes and ended up with Progressive...State Farm was beat in quote also by Farm Bureau.

I had read reviews that said they had Nationwide and were canceled after one claim. I take comments with a grain of salt manly so this was not a big factor. Mainly the difference in price. My wife was dealing with health insurance issues for her father. Policy was bought years ago based on premiums. No problems until he needed it. Service left a lot to be desired. Maybe there is no connection, but the old adage of you get what you pay for comes to mind. For next year I intend to look into all of our polices to get the best price.

We live in NC also, funny about the price differences.

Saw the policy of the people we bought the RV from, about 150 less and it was with Progressive. They had the Road trek insured with them since 2007 so could be other discounts. Coverage was almost the same.

Home and auto is insured with Allstate. they don't offer RV insurance. Also have to get umbrella from different carrier altogether because Allstate will not cover the RV.

If Nationwide was cheaper why did you go with Progressive? Nationwide was almost $175 higher a year than Progressive here in NC and didn't offer the protection or coverage that Progressive offered...that was based with both companies covering our two vehicles and the new TH.

For what it's worth, coverage on our Class C is less than $500/year....around $475 to be exact. But we are not fulltimers.
