We have bought 3 RVs over the years. The first was a low end Fleetwood Pioneer that we bought new from a mega dealer. It was an amazing little trailer with great features and held up amazingly considering the low price. We traded it for a new Cougar TT which gave us more room, a slideout, and more features we wanted that weren't in our first TT. We bought from a smaller dealer. It took 2 years before we had a camping trip without issues from build quality or bad design. Keystone stood behind the product but the dealership was horrendous to work with. Twice they backed my TT into something and never told me. Their techs were poorly trained and every repair took several trips to get it fixed. Sometimes I had to finally fix it because they had no clue. After the 2 years, it became a very loved and dependable TT that we took on several long trips without incident.
We bought our last RV (see sig) used from a private party. It has been relatively trouble free and the build quality is very good, especially when compared to others.
My point is that not all RVs are junk or poorly made. Some have more trouble than others. Some (most?) of the things the OP mentions are really bad to have happen in a new RV. I would hope that build quality is what determines the longevity of that manufacturer.
