I don't know whether or not your rv was made on a Monday, (hang over from a rough weekend :h) but the help they get these days are far from competent. We bought a brand new Cruiser Funfinder that they never connected the drain to the shower in. The slide out mechanism was temperamental and only worked occasionally among other issues. I've had 9 trailers over the years and that one was probably the worse.
We now have a Keystone product, a 2011 cougar lite that we bought used in 2014 and have not had any problems with it. Mine is made well and we have lived in it for three winters.
I think its all luck of the draw. You have to hope that the people who worked on your rig knew what they were doing and were not there on their first day of work with the company and unobserved by more knowledgeable personnel who weren't present to check on them.
These companies push their products through the building stages way too fast for quality control. I bought my 5th wheel used and it was in good working order and still is.
The next trailer I buy, I will plug into a nearby campground from the dealer for a week, in case something breaks or until I'm satisfied that there are no issues with it.
