I think new vs used really depends on the market in your area. In my area, for example, people selling used TT's seem to want/expect (and maybe get, I dunno) close to 90 percent of the price of a new one for one that is 1-2 years old. And they refuse to negotiate much off that mark. Probably because they are upside down, but that's not my problem.
So, when one is faced with the option of new, or a used one for 10-15 percent less, they typically opt for new, with warranty etc...
Quality certainly lacks but I wonder how old/how far back do you have to go in order to find quality? If someone upgrades their used trailer and really ups the quality, it would be worth buying used vs new, but in my area, you just don't see that. Im not traveling a thousand miles or more to look at a used trailer. Too many people misrepresent what they are selling.
I bought new and have had some issues (A/C bad already, wall for bathroom crooked) but they got resolved to my satisfaction. So far so good other than that.
