I recognize at the outset that the OP will come off as sour grapes. I regret that. But I am being honest about our experience.
As for buying a boat, timeshare or RV, I will never lay $$ out for any of it. I have learned the hard way. As I indicated in my OP, if I had it over, I would rent. They rent all three.
