Op, i am sorry to hear of your troubles. That's very unfortunate. It's honestly one of the big reasons I've been holding onto my now 28yr old rig. It's wearing it's original one piece aluminum roof and is still in good shape.
We'd like to have a new rig, like the jayco 26 bh, but i worry about spending all that money and then have a bunch of problems with it. It's tough. I know we can't run the Layton forever, but I'm finding it hard to let her go.
I'd buy an airstream, but can't afford one. The fiberglass eggs are nice but too small for my family of 4.
There's really no good options and that's why i still have the Layton.
