While many are built cheap, not all are. We just got back from our 1st short weekend getaway today. Took it out winter hibernation last week. All systems worked. Spent the weekend inside cause it was raining most of the time. Not one issue. Our Northwood 5er is going into it's 5th season. No leaks, everything worked just like it did when we put it away last year at the end of Sept.
With all that being said, it very easily could have an issue next time out. You just never know. I do all my own maintenance, maybe that helps. I tend to ignore rant threads. They're a dime a dozen anymore. Over 400,000 Towables sold last year. I highly doubt every single one sold had so many issue that they're all a big giant POS.
