Can RV'S be built better, undoubtedly. I know mine is made out of cheap materials with cheap labor. This is personal opinion but I think RV'S were built better prior to 2008 crash. When the market picked back up they had to find a new labor force of untrained workers.
That said my cheap RV allows me a affordable way to see my country. I can't afford a 2 million dollar Prevost motorcoach.
I'm not disillusioned into thinking these are quality built rigs nor do I think 20k is a lot of money for a house.
