Complaints of "I spent $x, it should be better quality" are completely meaningless. Quality is just one component of cost, and is pretty invisible unless you know what you're looking for. Lots of people pay for the visibly obvious gimmicks, features, and cosmetics, and then shop on price. So manufacturers oblige - offering a polished turd at the lowest price.
"Polished turd" - Perfect. That is exactly what they are.
