I would love to see the Chinese enter the market. Actually they make most of the parts so that should be easy. Now I can hear the wheel turn....since they make poor quality parts, they will make poor quality RVs. The Chinese make products to spec. They are perfectly capable of making high quality parts and products at a low cost with highly automated and technically advanced manufacturing.
Sure making a big class A or 5th wheeler and then shipping it does not make sense. They can easily start with pop up and small teardrop trailers which can be shipped economically.
I think we need that sort of competition to impact the market. Without it, we just continue to see low quality junk. It is poorly designed, poorly made and just geared toward a quick sales based on surface appearance and features.
