It is interesting. There is one remarkable insight I have gained into the experience of owning one of these lousy TTs.
When you stop to think about it: next to an RV, the modern automobile is a tremendous engineering and manufacturing success story. Just close your eyes and imagine for a moment an RV that matched up in quality and utility of the average family car. ahhhhh.....
I know, I know....an RV is nothing like a car. It would be to expensive. Blah. Blah. Blah.
It could be much closer than it is.
There were a plethora of high end quality mfg that have gone under because they could not compete with low end mfg. Public wants cheap and that's what they get.
My list of mfg that I thought were above par were; Teton, Travel Supreme, Excel, NuWa, Carriage among others.
Nothing is stopping you and others from starting your own RV company and building a better unit, let me know how many quality units you can produce for 20k. I will stand in line to purchase one. Coachman, Airstream, KZ, Jayco, DRV and others sold out to Thor/Forest River and other upstarts have already went under such as Evergreen which took Riverside with them.
I think George Burns said it best, ((To bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy driving taxicabs and cutting hair.))
