I have no need for the "Liberace's Bedroom" look, and I certainly don't need a livingroom that fits 10 people or 6 TV sets. When DW and I are out looking for our next rig, we are frustrated by how little attention manufacturers pay to the rooms we use most (Bedroom, Kitchen, Bathroom). Hopefully, tastes will change again soon.
It will be nice when the RV manufacturers wake up to good design, interiors that dont look like Liberaces Bedroom and more efficient and appealing designs...to say nothing of needed equipment like (gasp) shock absorbers on every trailer.
Instead we get over the top frothy designs that maximize TV viewing inside and out (a terrible idea that should be stamped out now)instead of true livability.
FullTimeDaniel, I have no idea why so many people on this supposedly "friendly" forum are attacking you or belittling your concerns instead of offering constructive advice and support. Maybe it's just the "new 'Murica". I'm embarrassed by their behavior. Don't let it get you down.
Thanks for your kind words. I don't take any of the hostility seriously, but it is curious don't you agree? I appreciate everyone's point of view no matter how artlessly it may be presented.
And I do agree with you that too much emphasis is placed on the huge living areas and when you get to the bedroom you cant walk around the bed or have room to stand to dress. The bathrooms have gotten bigger for sure but they are still not what they should be.
Take a look at my post in the Modifications and Upgrades forum where I show what I am doing to my current trailer. You may find it interesting.
Thanks again.
