if your going to campgrounds with electric power, the apt fridge will work great
you can run the generator when driving, most of us do this anyway so we can use the roof top A/C, the dash A/C is not enough in hot weather
if you are going someplace with NO electrical hoook ups
then an RV fridge (repair) might be your option
we have a 120v Apt size fridge, but we have extras batteries and Solar panels on the roof
total cost was less than a NEW RV fridge, and i had already spent hundreds on a local repair that failed
