RV Rental; Anyone ever rent an RV from a private owner?

After reading the Yelp reviews of various RV renting places, I'll take the time to drive to Houston or Dallas and rent from Cruise America or one of the big names.

On the other hand, I have "rented" a "B" by fixing the generator, cleaning out the FW system, and other things, and the owner offered to lend his rig to me (which I then put on my insurance as a motorhome for those few days just to make sure that anything that happened was covered.)
