that is great stuff... thanks for the link...Curtiss !!
Now, (of course, deferring to the historians) ... that little
aluminum jewel on the front left... I suspect could be the ultra
rare Bowlus-Teller aluminum trailer (possibly, the "Road Chief")...
Mr. Bowlus was Lindberg's shop foreman at Ryan (think Spirit of St. Louis)...
and I believe his "RV" shop and equipment was (around this time)
bought out by Wally Byam (Airstream)... and, the rest is history. So,
direct lineage to aviation history.
please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong... I love the
backstories.
