  • You can park it in my back 40 free. I have several friends' units there already.

I'm in Palmdale, 79-mi. from LAX.

Drop me a PM if interested.

In today's LA Craigslist there is a new RV storage place listed near LAX. I think it was 85 dollars a month.
just the price alone makes it suspect (way too cheap). Any specific info.?

    Maybe for a 12 ft pop-up, ROTFL..:R
OR - it's "close" to LAX in a part of L.A. (or adjoining cities) where you DON'T want to be!!

    OP - rather than Castaic, Santa Clarita, etc. which are within the 100 mi range - but good for two hour drive to LAX (unless it's at 3AM), try Flying Bull in Orange County;
About 2500 RVs there, but still lots of room for more, all concrete, with excellent security.

It's at the now closed El Toro MCAS in Irvine, just off the I-5, between Sand Canyon and Alton parkway.
(Just North of the "El Toro Y" - the junction of the I-5 and 405 freeways)

About 40 miles to LAX - and about an hour drive including rush hour via the 405 San Diego Fwy).

BTW - I drive to/from the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita area to/from The OC - (a bit further South of "the Y" regularly) - which takes me past LAX going both ways on the 405.
OC to/from LAX wins hands down!.;)

    Why? - easy!
Ten million people in L.A. County, 3 million in Orange County.

And - the L.A. where you "don't want to be".....
lived a few miles from LAX for 28 years. Back then it was WAY, WAY safer than now!!
(Even then - you knew where to go and where *not* to go.
No-go has "expanded" a LOT since then.)

  • We use to store ours in Castaic. The storage lot was next to I5 as you started to climb the grapevine. 5 years ago we paid $55/month. I'll see if I can find the storage nameand number if your interested. They have a billboard with their number on it.

  • If that doesn't work out, check out the Santa Clarita/Saugus/Agua Dulce area. There are several storage places there. There may be some closer, but I know they have some there, and is nowhere near 100 miles from LAX.
