I think I would mouse proof my RV, as I did, rather than using poisons to keep the mice out, or rather kill any mice that do get in.
The non-heated space will get as cold as the NE does. I'm not trying to avoid winterizing per se ...in fact didn't even think about it in that manner. Since the locale I'm considering has overhead power lines it would make sense to winterize the TT in case the power goes off.
The difference in cost between the heated and non heated space in 13.6% annually.I can use the space to store other items off season.
Unfortunately or not I have no problem killing pests not found on the endangered lists who don't pay rent;).
