RV Transport Driver
Has anyone ever done this and if so what are your experiences? I have thought about doing it but want to do some research before I jump into something I might regret later on.

The same thing happens for private aircraft, only worse. Manufacturers never pay somebody to deliver a plane when there's a line of people waiting to do it for free, just to fly the "new" stuff and log more hours to upgrade their license.
Are you sure manufacturers allow people to do this for free? The FLSA outlaws such practices. It is against Federal Law to volunteer for a private company in other than an authorized intern program. And if you've seen the news lately it looks like even the volunteer intern programs are under attack by the Federal Courts and may go away. I can't imagine too many big companies would take this risk.
