Double ditto. The height and length of 5ers will eliminate some beautiful campgrounds for you and also create problems with clearances for older tunnels and bridges. You'll miss some beautiful routes because of that. We suggest you get a 25' or keep your shorter trailer if you want more cg options. You can get a 25' trailer with a slide if you want more room.
If you decide to forgo reservations to have a less rigid itinerary, get the Allstays Campground app. It has a pretty comprehensive listing of cgs; COE/State/National cgs; Walmart overnight lots; truck stops; etc. It helps with finding an alternate campground if the first choice had no vacancies.
