RV Trip Routing

I used to have a Garmin RV GPS -- one which allowed you to put the height and width of your vehicle in, and then would take that into account when routing you. I no longer have that and would very much like to find something with the same functionality as an App. I tried using the online Goodsam trip planner, but although it pops up height warnings, it doesn't allow you to actually route around them without dragging every single waypoint that is an issue. I also question its accuracy to some point, because it's warning me I can't take my standard height Class C MH from Richmond, VA to Maine on some of the major roads without running into an overpass. Any suggestions for the best IOS or Android App that actually allows you to put in your specific vehicle measurements?
  • I have the Trucker's Road Atlas and use it to double check trips. If a semi can fit under it, so can I.
  • RVAJeff, We have used the Rand McNally 7710 for 3 years and purchased the 7735 that CW sells. It has a few more features from the 7710. Both were set up so you could put in your length, height, type of rig, what type of roads to go/not to go on as well as fuel stops and all the other goodies. We have been well pleased and it hasn't taken us on a wild ride. Good Luck in your choices.
  • Most of us do not trust a single source of navigational information anyway, so I suggest any GPS or even the CoPilot app on a tablet and a truckers' (paper) road atlas. I also have Next Exit, which is a book of exactly that; what's at the next exit.

The CoPilot app does allow you to enter vehicle type and height.
