For a dryer you purchase a couple of those pump up suction cup things. Stick them to the side of you RV, put a stick on them and run a clothes line in-between.

I've been "borrowing" a friend's units while parked next to them. They live fulltime (she works a regular job as his heart meds prohibit his working) and planned their bus conversion to be a fulltime home on wheels. So instead of a tiny combo unit, they allowed space for a full size top loading super capacity washer and an LP gas dryer (they also have a full sized 30" gas range, the lucky devils). I deeply wish I had the space for a washer and dryer. I have ruined so many things washing them in coin laundries. I have all my whites turn pink (or green or purple) when there were never any colors in the white laundry! What a bummer! I think if you dislike laundromats then you would prefer your own washer and dryer. If you don't mind laundromats then you can't see a need for a washer and dryer. It's not a right or wrong thing, just a personal preference just like so many other things.

we have separate units but do not use a "RV washer or dryer" .... with the single unit machines one only has a couple of choices but with separate machines you can use any one that will fit the cabinet .... our current machines are made by Whirlpool and were installed in our camper by Lowe's .... they are apartment size and as has been noted, one can't wait until Saturday to do all of the wash .... the advantage of none RV machines is you can get them worked on about anywhere

Use one side of a kitchen sink with some detergent and elbow grease. Then use the other side of the sink to rinse. Wring out the clothes by hand and clip to a line in the bathroom or hang over the shower stall. If you're boon docking in a remote area you can even hang them from a line outside. Works great, and much less expensive than a washer/dryer combo or a laundry.

We were thrilled when our last coach had the combo unit. In theory it sounded awesome. Used it the first season, barely the second and didn't even bother to dewinterize it after that. Too small, much easier to hit a campground laundry in the evening or first thing in the morning and everything is done in one shot. This coach has the hookups but no unit, we use the space for storage. Put some decent shelves in there...much more useful than the w/d unit would ever be.

Can you guess where the W&D was supposed to go in here? Not long after the pic was taken almost everything in those bags was put away where the W&D would have taken up space.



We do one big shop a month & once a week for perishables. There is plenty room for more shelving but there has not been a need for it.

We have the combo unit. And I use it. It's easy to run a load sometime throughout the day. If we aren't heading right out in the morning I can knock out a load then. If not, if we are at the rv early in the evening, I'll run a load. I'd prefer the stackable but the combo is what came with our new rig. I am much happier doing our laundry in our machine rather than at a laundrymat. I don't have to pack as many clothes or linens. And it's great when we are in Florida to keep towels dry, sportsclothes washed up & swimsuits free of pool or ocean water. I'm glad to have it!

We love ours, stackable ....so dryer seperate from washer. We can easily wash 4 pairs of jeans at a time. We would not like the all in one combo units though.

We had a separate washer/dryer in our first Mobile Suites and went that route again with our current MS. Works great. No waiting in line at campground laundry rooms or finding machines "Out of Order".

Worth the price. No regrets.
