What I find more objectionable is the practice of making the earliest reservations for multiple weeks then cancelling the earlier week. For example you want to camp/RV at a very popular park and the reservation window is 6 months in advance only. On the date 6 months in advance you reserve two weeks, even though you only want one week, the week after the reservation window is open to reserve. As time passes and you have your reservations 6 months and one week in advance you then cancel the first week. If you understand what I mean.
