I don't know whether the site has a host, or if the USFS Techs or LEOs come through, but when you arrive the next day, you may well find your sight occupied by someone else. USFS rules state that a campsite MUST be occupied the first night. They may well give it to someone else if you aren't there in the morning, as your entire reservation is subject to being void by not occupying the first night. Gaming the system is wrong.
Since no one checks for occupancy in the middle of the night and we arrive early in the AM, we have not had a problem with the first night occupancy rule. Possibly a technical violation I will concede. No one seems to care.
I am not proud of it nor ashamed. I accept it is a solution to a problem.
Sounds like you maybe arriving before 24 hours has expired anyway.
In essence you want to check in before check in time. You are accomplishing this by paying for an extra day arriving within the 24 hour initial occupancy rule
