I already have a "privatized" version of Medicare with a zero additional premium United Health Care Advantage plan where the government just passes my mandatory Medicare premium along to UHC. The plan has a "Passport" feature that lets me use plan contract service providers in other states than my "home" state just by letting UHC know where I am. Emergency room and urgent care centers are covered everywhere without notifying UHC. Would this same feature still be there under a revised Medicare system? We'll just have to wait and see what happens...
