RVs over 10 years old are valueless

I have a 15 year old 5th wheel in perfect condition, but I am no longer allowed in RV parks - the same parks which allowed me in last year. They're all citing "the 10 year rule." Therefore, this 5th wheel serves no purpose anymore as I cannot travel with it. I am done RVing. Rant off.
  • Lie to them about how old your camper is...just like some of them lie to you about being an "RV" Resort...which is only the same RV park as always, just added the word "RESORT" to ad more money for your stay there...
  • My 2008 Hitchhiker II is well maintained and much better built than the new stuff, so I'm sticking with it. However, I have been rejected only a couple of times. People like us need to shop around a little harder to find places that will condescend to our lowly level but which are not entirely trailer-trash.
  • Not all campgrounds have the same rules, and for those who make them, maybe it's worth having a conversation explaining your loyalty with them. To date, at least.
