RVSellernetworks.com?

I posted my Class C a few days ago on the local Craigslist. Yesterday, someone called and asked if I wanted to use their service to help it sell. The place is called rvsellernetworks.com.

I haven't had a single call on our super clean Chateau which is priced about $5k below low NADA. So, I was thinking about possibly using these guys. Anyone ever use them or know anything about them? Thanks in advance.

  • I did a bunch of research on rvsellersnetwork a while back and posted it on the forum. I can't find it now but here is a little of what I found out.

The website domain was only a few months old.

They sign up people to do ad 'sales' for them across the country on commission.

It gets listed on their website that has very little traffic.

They also have other websites for trucks, cars, boats etc. so don't think they are RV specialists.

I general, not something you want to do.

I generally don't either. In fact, I think this is the first time I ever have. If I don't like the call, I can always hang up. The last few ads I have posted saying to email me their number, when I call..........they don't answer. There is no easy way on CL, its full of flakes.
  • I never put my phone number in a CL add. They contact me through email and if they are serious, I give them my number then.
  • For RVs, retail NADA is a figment of someone's very fertile imagination. A better pricing guideline would be NADA wholesale, no adds for anything. That would be close to the max dollar you are going to get and usually you will still have to take less. And yes, in a few posts we are going to see one where somebody sold theirs for NADA retail plus 30 seconds after they posted the ad, but that is either a wild exaggeration, a gross miscalculation of what the NADA retail for that unit was, or a true mullet just happened to be swimming by. Real world, getting anywhere close to NADA retail for an RV is not the norm.
  • I have listed my trailer for sale on CL, and I too am getting calls from some outfit trying to sell me advertising space. I simply hang up on them. I checked the box on my ad that said I did not want to be contacted by sellers offering me anything, and they still call me. I'm on the federal 'do not call' list. They are in violation of federal law and I will never reward them with my money.
  • If they want a chunk of money upfront it is a swindle. If they take a cut of the final sale price, it might be legit.
  • Thanks Dick. Yea, we are wanting to get something a bit larger with a walk around bed. No hurry to sell it and yes, out here in rural Nevada there just isn't the draw of prospective buyers. I'm sure the 100 degree temps aren't helping either. I will probably put it on RVT in the next week or two if nothing materializes. I can't help but think these online sellers will want a pretty good chunk of money to sell it for you.
  • I just looked at your listing, beautiful MH. It takes awhile usually to sell one in our small community. I have sold three of my previous RVs on renotahoeCL and www.rvt.com I had a lot of calls from people like who contacted you and IMHO all they want is your listing money. Another one that I was having a hard time selling I took a big hit and sold it to a dealer in Paso Robles. Dick
