You would think that they both would get more out of camping with family than Xbox during the summer vacation.
Apparently you have forgotten your teenage years. Their behavior is very normal as is mom and dad's reaction. Camping isn't for everyone, even within a family.
To the OP: Other than how crazy life can be with kids at that stage, have you asked why they don't want to camp? Maybe it's the places you go or the activities you do? Chances are they've hit the "it's just not cool" stage but with a little digging maybe you can find out why.
