Both Chevy trucks and GMC trucks were built on the same line. I used to haul GM cars and trucks, but may have changed since I retired in 2002.
We would find Chevy's with GMC steering wheels and side emblems.
When I bought my GMC it was delivered with a GMC emblem on the drivers side, ... when I got home I found a Chevy emblem on the passenger side. Built that way at the factory. It's still that way to this day & nobody has ever noticed.
