Safety
Hi All.. Maybe it is just me but I am getting concerned about our personal safety at camp grounds. Should a camper carry a weapon(gun)in the camper? Currently I do not. Jim2007

In my state, the Legislature just passed a bill, that concealed carry permits are no longer needed. Our Governor vetoed the bill, as he did not want this changed. There are so many CCPs issued in my state, the Governor figured we could not handle the loss of revenue, of permit renewal. Concealed carry, without a permit, is just a misdemeanor in my state. The Legislature will consider an override on Monday. I quit playing the permit renewal game many years ago.

I assume this correct? I do have a Concealed permit from WA State, if pulled over for a light out lets say in CA do they know you have a permit?
If so IMHO a great reason NOT to get a permit.
I do think the CC info is available to any LEO calling in your plate number, to check you out. Your permit request would have gone through an FBI computer to check you out, so info would be available nation wide. Not from personal experience, but I've heard of others being stopped, and asked if carrying, which I think reason being, they know you are licensed to CC.
Lots of talk about this in my area, due to possible, no CC permit bill becoming law. One thing mentioned, in local news, you can open carry right now, with no permit, such as laying on seat of truck, or in plain sight holster, hanging on your hip. My state, not sure every state.
