Very interesting. Hopefully the issue was addressed and the tires are back to being about the best you can get.

I believe these tires were the best you can get because they were new and not many were on the road…fewer issues.

Hopefully they have identified an actual manufacturing issue and not just a period of time with problems. Thanks for the info.

Not likely, there were tons on the roads with zero failures, until the Vietnam made ones showed up. Heck they were even coming as OEM on some trailers. Lots of people have had them in the ten years they've been popular, and the failures are basically non-existent.

The problem with the Sailun make me buy Hankook now.They made in China will see how they behave.

The Sailun S637 first hit the streets as a LT tire made for the regional service truck/trailer industry in the late '08/'10 era.
Due to high tariffs placed on P and LT tires Sailun decided to rebadge them to a ST tire to get around those high rates and American trailer owners tire ignorance of using a LT tire on a trailer back then and that high tariff rate. LT tires are made for trucks only nonsense.
I have 6 of the LT 235/85-16 G on a tri axle stock trailer with a dot date in '09. The tires have around 37k-38k miles on them but I'll replace them before spring green up time when we move herds from west OK/KS/TX back to tall grass country in the eastern parts of the state.
I'll be mounting 6 more S637 load G on the trailer and sell the old tires to farmers/ranchers looking for heavy tires for some type of agriculture equipment (field to the barn).

Agree; I've had mine for almost 7 years now and they still look like new. There will be another set going on when these ones are done in another year or two.

From everything I have read or heard, Sailun makes good, really good tires. Over the years there seems to be a continuing war over "China Bombs". I have always believed that it is the company who stands behind the tire that is more important than where it is made. Here is a case in point.

So, am I missing something? After reading through more of this link I saw where most major manufactures produce tires in China. Michelin is one.
