Yeah, good advice, but not always applicable. With no non-refundable deposit the dealer wouldn't hold the unit. This was the only toy hauler we had found that fit our desires. So we took a gamble.
It's not like it would have cost a lot of money, and we would have lost the trailer. And that's a fact. We talked to people later who we met by chance that had driven down from Ohio to look, and buy, this trailer. The dealer told them it was sold, but let them take a peek inside. They said they would have bought it on the spot. There were only 2 other models available at other dealers, both several thousand dollars higher. Sometimes you just gotta risk it.
