And, don't forget, the ownership requires monthly fees, or annual fees - they call it "upkeep' which means upkeep it in my pocket ...
One time, got invited to a 'free night camping' in central Florida. So, took it, drove down, picked a spot (paved, FHU) ... set up. Guy came around, told me he 'had to show me the sales or he'd get in trouble. So, took the tour.
Lots were 12 wide, 50' long, and eight x thirty was paved, but the pavement was years old, failing, cracking, holes all over. And the grounds in general were not well maintained - scale of 1-10, maybe a 3 or less...
SO, the price was $27,000 ... and as I recall, $45 a month for 'maintenance' fees', plus you pay a HOA fee and taxes. IN addition, within 90 days of buying, the new owner (ME, YOU) was required to install a new concrete pad over the old asphalt - and you have to use his slab guy - $4000...(For a $1000 job)
When we finished, he said, "What do you think."
And being the honest non-liar person I am, answered his question with a question instead. "Would you buy one of these for that price?" ... Unfortunately right at that moment, the guy must have had a stroke or something, because he lost his ability to speak briefly, so I got no answer.
He seemed to recover pretty well though, and was talking to another couple a bit later, while we sat and enjoyed our free campsite overnight.
