How do I convert the Cable TV exterior input connection to permit access to Sat. TV?

I've tried all kind of ways to get Sat. TV. Ive had domes on top, Winneguard carry out, and now the tailgater. Had a service man that understood all this. All I have to do is set tailgater where it has a clear view, let it run its 15 minute set of things, and we have Sat. just fine. RV came with a Sat inlet plug. Very simple. If we want DVD we just select correct settings in tv and dvd player. All very simple. I never use the bat wing.
