I asked why and was told that they had 5 different price profiles, dependant on credit history. When I told them that I would give them a credit card number and for them to just quote me a price assuming that I had good credit, they refused. That was the end of the conversation. Guess they don't need my business.
Just tell them that you are in the country illegally and do not have a social security number.
