I notice Rustoleum is now selling spray paint that stick to plastic. Maybe the competition was too much for Krylon.
Great, now PLASTIC will rust also just like steel does with Rustoleum :S although recently just getting a slight one time spray of paint out of Rustoleum cans without clogging has been a brutal effort..
The problem is not competition in the plastic paints space, rather it is the STORE MANAGEMENT only stocking faster moving inventory..
Faster turns of inventory = MORE PROFITS..
Slower moving inventory means the store is FINANCING that inventory and that is lowering profits.
This movement has been on going for the last 30 or so years but is picking up more speed as computerized inventory systems have gotten more sophisticated.
I have had no choice but to purchase nearly everything from the Internet that is not food or lumber..
My local Walmart store is a mess, carries very little, has bunches of nearly empty shelves and yet somehow has 10 people deep on 8 registers plus all of the DIY registers at full capacity..
If you need more than a carton of milk or a pair of jeans you best go Internet searching to find the hard to find stuff.
