I do my own repairs and ONLY use patches.My tandem dump trailer picks up lots of nails and screws from going to the dump and those tires have been patched lots.:( I have a couple of other trailers and they too seem to pick up roofing nails, again only patches. My rv has XPS rib LT's on it but all the other trailers have ST's.
