There's a distinct chance that it had a catastrophic blowout that caused an immediate loss of air and unfortunately by the time the tpms reacted to it the damage had already been done? We had had a couple members state this exact experience so that why I mention it. Not all tire failures are slow leakers, I am sure thats not what you meant to imply.
Well, there is a distinct chance the blowout happened as you stated.. HOWEVER...... If you read I said he put it in the basement storage to install when he got home.. He never made it home, so we will never know.. All we know is MY tpms caught it in time.
