I also have a webcam in my garage that allows me to "look and see" if my garage door is open or closed.......
My kids on occasion come home from school and have forgotten to take their house key with them.....I can remotely open the garage door to allow them access to the house.........
Just this week I added the "Nest" wifi enabled thermostat......I can now monitor the temp inside our house and on the return home from a trip I can turn on the A/C a couple of hours before arriving home........
