I always carry two spares when I'm towing the enclosed car hauler. I've lost 3 tires on a trip! And sometimes it's a long ways between tire stores.
I don't carry two spares with my TT, since it has pretty good tires, and push come to shove I could remount my van's spare on a trailer rim, and since the van has two built-in spares I could always run rear singles in an emergency.
