I agree with all the above. It's a mix of things. But as with many things, I think a big part of it is the "need" to have what the Jones' have. Many people rush into buying a TT or 5er (because they're the least expensive option) and then find out that it's too much work, too expensive, they don't like towing, they don't use it enough, they can't store it at home, the kids turned in teenagers, their vehicle can't handle it, etc.
I suspect out of every 50 sold that at least 5-10 are sold within a year or two. And with the numbers selling in the past few years with all the TV shows, that's a lot being gotten rid of.
