In my travels I'm seeing a bunch of later model RV's of every description for sale in peoples yards, driveways, sitting in empty lots, on Craigs List and in the local paper. I wonder what gives. ...

Many here have great economic freedom. However the cost of everything has more than doubled since 08 that is the larger factor.
A lot of people are buying new and used and didn't use a clean piece of paper, and know all the cost involved, that and as above, they got in and now they're are getting out.
Then, as we found out this summer, lot, of people, are aging out ,of the lifestyle, so to speak.
Manufacturers changed in the last 20 years and went the WalMart Wall Street route, with low quality lots of glitz, and glitter, and lot of problems for too many Buyers. They had to get out.
Maybe one reason American Coach will hold only 1 rally next year.
