In my travels I'm seeing a bunch of later model RV's of every description for sale in peoples yards, driveways, sitting in empty lots, on Craigs List and in the local paper. I wonder what gives. ...

But then everything costs more in California...
The Wiz is talking Southern CA - as in Los Angeles County, Orange County, etc.
Once you get outside the major population areas (cities), storage costs are more reasonable - - but long way to go unless you live there.
(So CA - You plan ahead when buying a house - make sure you have a lot with RV storage space)
BTW if you owned land in So. CA you wouldn't be storing RVs on it (either) - LOL..:W
