You can carry a gun through many states on your person with reciprocity laws in most - if properly licensed. A few states won't allow any and is ones responsibility to know those.
Our constitution provides many Americans the right to exercise their freedom and liberties by arming themselfs. Why so many other people find that offensive is disturbing in itself. The same freedoms many of them hold so near to their hearts, the freedom of speech as many here have exercised, and it's in contrast to other people exercising their freedoms.
I couldn't care less about what others think about those who carry. They blame it on paranoia and many other things. But as long as I have a right to do so, I'll protect their right to complain about it.
