As always extremely divided opinions on this. Police officer for over 20 years. I'm of the view that it's better to be prepared than not.
There are such strong reactions against carrying a gun and I personally just don't understand and probably never will. Of course I'm talking about responsible carry. Anyway, thought I'd throw out my opinion as a Texas Peace Officer.
Four of us travel together. Four of us are police officers. Always have at least 4 weapons. And no one would ever know unless we wanted them to know.
Just be mindful out there. Bad things really do happen.
