Selling my RV

Decided to sell my 2004 Dolphin Class A and have a dealer wanting to buy it. I am selling at wholesale (don't want to bother with doing it myself-too busy) and we decided on a decent price. The Dealer is Mike Thompson RV. They will cut me a check within 7 days however they want to take possession of the RV now (including title). Being a large dealership I can't imagine anything shady however I don't want any surprises. Is there anything I need to worry about here? Has anyone else ever done this before??
Thanks!
  • We sold our ViewFinder on consignment through a dealership and gave them our title. We had done business with them in the past and they had earned our trust.

I don't think I would do the same with the dealership you mentioned (for the reasons that the others have mentioned.)

Besides if they are straight-up buying it from you, instead of selling it for you on consignment, why should you have to wait to get paid?
  • Mike Thompson RV...........

I wouldn't do business with that bunch of yahoos.

You should check on-line reviews, BBB status, Bankruptcy.

MONEY THEN TITLE.......NEVER ANY OTHER WAY

    CHECK..........AFTER IT CLEARS BANK>>>>>>>>THEN TITLE

I WOULD NOT GIVE ANYONE THE TITLE TO MY VEHICLE BEFORE I HAD THE MONEY
