The overwhelming majority of people who get sick, or are exposed to the virus will be completely fine.
The problem with statistics. The non-majority who will die are not just numbers.
They are grandparents, dads, now sons and daughters -- and kids.
You can get all whiny, but that doesn't change the facts that most people will not get sick. Do you quit driving when you read about the thousands of "grandparents, dad, now sons and daughters" who die in car wrecks, or get shot? Do you then petition to stop driving, ban guns? Yes, most of the fatalities will be the elderly, children are much less risk according to most of the studies I read.
Going into panic mode will not slow down the spread, or do anything at all except make things worse. So chill out, stay home, realize you can't do anything except keep yourself healthy, and self-medicate if you're not healthy.
