NMDriver, maintaining public land costs money..roads, potties, trail work, firefighting, trash, poop clean out, law enforcement etc.
Would you rather ALL these costs be paid by ALL Americans or the current system of paid by a combination of fees/charges by mostly Americans who frequent these lands and some by ALL Americans, some of whom never use any public lands?
Quick and snappy responses are rarely good responses. Your response was not good
Responses that are written without reading and understanding are even more likely to be bad.
As the OP posted about Entrance fees, I said entrance fees should be free. I did not mention the fees for enhanced facilities as you are spouting about. The increase fee is to ENTER the land not to park, poop, or camp there.
However since you brought up facility fees.
If the majority of Americans do not want to pay for public lands then they vote congressmen into power that will not allocate money for the lands maintenance. That is what has happened and that is the American system of government finance. At present it seems the majority of Americans do not want money spent to maintain public land enhancements. So paying more for public land facilities and privatization to corporations is the current government solution.
BTW your judgement on a good or bad response to the OP is of as much value as mine, which is to say Zero.
