Your trailer may be poorly designed from a towing perspective... Have you made sure your axles are square? Are your trailer tires rated to carry your GVWR? You may need to spend the money and get a Hensley or buy a properly balanced travel trailer.
Burbman was not mis-speaking... The Hensley as designed is indifferent to tongue weight. The Hensley design doesn't rely on tongue weight at all to control sway. Unlike the finicky Reese Dual Cam (over rated IMHO) that needs more and more tongue weight to work properly the Hensley doesn't care if you are at 0 tongue weight.
It eliminates trailer sway and makes the trailer behave. However, the forces trying to make the trailer sway are present...just controlled by the hitch...
