Most of my clocks have to be adjusted manually. The worst are our antique wind-up clocks - to go back an hour I have to stop them and then remember to start them up again an hour later - and that time happens to be now - thanks for the reminder. :)

Yup! My morning task twice a year to adjust them all.

I keep hoping they will do away with this archaic practice, but in spite of all the talk about it, it remains in force...

Not in AZ. What's the point in messing with the clocks anyway? Seems kind of pointless in today's world.

Wise state, Arizona. In Florida, our senators are trying to introduce federal legislation allowing Florida to be on Savings Time year round. Which would essentially put Florida on Atlantic Standard Time. To what end or benefit, I have no idea. If anything, ditch DST nationwide.....forever.

I had all the in-house clocks set back last night before I went to bed, except for my bedside clock; it is supposed to be automatic. It didn't work. So, I have to turn the DST switch to OFF, then set the time back!
Then, this morning, I checked my watch against the NIST time online, and set it for the best accuracy. I even reset the digital clock used for UTC (GMT for us oldsters). It had wandered about 5 minutes over the last year! Wonderful modern electronics...
